TDHCA's Multifamily Compliance Division will host a live webinar on the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA) and associated new regulatory changes on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Central Time. 

The HOTMA webinar will go over the requirements of the new regulations; how the Department has been, and will continue to, monitor HOTMA requirements; how the HOTMA requirements for different programs layer with each other; and, other items pertaining specifically to HOTMA and the changes that came with the new regulations. Directly after the webinar, TDHCA's Compliance staff will be available for questions on the presented topic until 10:30 a.m., or when the HOTMA questions have all been answered. 

Multifamily Compliance staff will remain available afterward in an open session forum until 11:30 am to allow the Department's partners to ask questions on any multifamily compliance topic. Webinar participants may remain online, or for those not wanting to attend the HOTMA webinar, please login after 10:30 a.m. This is an opportunity for all participants to ask or listen to multifamily compliance-related questions.

The open forum time of the webinar will cover multifamily compliance or physical inspection topics as brought up by interested parties. There will be no formal presentation during this timeframe, but staff will be on-hand to answer questions and offer guidance.
