TDHCA awards funds to assist units of general local governments, public housing authorities, nonprofits, local agencies in the provision of assistance to low-income Texans with a focus on housing and housing-related assistance and services. Through HOME-ARP, TDHCA also offers funds for development of rental housing or non-congregate shelter. Additionally, TDHCA administers special purpose Section 8 Vouchers for specific populations in certain areas of the state. TDHCA does not have oversight of any other Public Housing Authority.
