The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) will present August Office Hours: Utility Allowances and Rent Changes, live online, on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., Central Time.  

This webinar, led by TDHCA compliance staff, will provide an overview of the Utility Allowance annual requirements and submission expectations as outlined in 10 TAC Section 10.614. Representatives from the Utility Allowance team will be available to answer questions and offer guidance. Staff will cover the submission process for the methodologies that require annual approval, how to request a change in methodologies, and the completion process for the HUD Model. Housing partners will have the opportunity to ask questions about these methodologies and processes. The webinar will run from 9 to approximately 10:30 a.m., Central Time.

Multifamily Compliance staff will remain available afterward in an open session forum until 11:30 a.m. on August 7 to allow the Department's partners to ask questions on any multifamily compliance topic. Webinar participants may remain online, or for those not wanting to attend the live training, please login around 10:30 a.m. This is an opportunity for all participants to ask or listen to multifamily compliance-related questions. There will be no formal presentation during this timeframe, but staff will be on-hand to answer questions and offer guidance.
