Sept. 10: TDHCA hosts PRWORA training for Single Family programs

TDHCA will host a live, online webinar to discuss the rules and regulations for the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA) as it relates to TDHCA's Single Family programs. The training is scheduled for September 10, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m., Central Time.
Members of TDHCA staff will walk through the background of PRWORA and discuss its impact on Department programs, the use of the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program, and answer questions. Staff will present 10 TAC Section 1.410 (Determination of Alien Status for Program Beneficiaries) along with other sections of the Texas Administrative Code that are impacted by the new rules and regulations.
All Administrators of TDHCA Single Family programs should attend. This includes Single Family HOME program activities, such as HRA and TBRA, as well as Texas Bootstrap Loan Program, Amy Young Barrier Removal Program, and Colonia Self-help Center Administrators.
