In a city where two colleges and a courthouse predate the 1900s, it’s no small feat to see something rise from the ground up that carries significance beyond history alone. In March, Overland Property Group, the City of Denton, Denton Chamber of Commerce, and the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, celebrated the grand opening of The Reserves at Magnolia, a 60-unit property located at 1020 Willowwood Street.

Financed in part through TDHCA’s 9% Housing Tax Credit Program, The Reserves at Magnolia, was submitted for award consideration in 2022 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Development is a very complicated and complex process, and involves the dedication of hundreds of people," explained Engstom.

The fruits of that dedication are now evident as residents begin the move-in phase of the property:
