TDHCA Governing Board approves awards for 2025 ESG funds

At it's September 4 meeting, the TDHCA Governing Board approved 88 awards for the 2025 Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funding cycle. In total, TDHCA will provide approximately $9.8 million to awardees to assist people experiencing homelessness or at-risk of homelessness.

ESG funds can be used for street outreach, emergency shelter, rapid re-housing efforts, and homelessness prevention (housing relocation; short and medium-term rental assistance).

The approved awards will be made available to organizations providing services in the following Continuum of Care Regions:

•    TX-500: City of San Antonio/Bexar County, $833,343 
•    TX-503: City of Austin/Travis County, $645,019 
•    TX-600: Cities of Dallas and Irving/Dallas County, $1,312,422 
•    TX-601: Cities of Fort Worth/Arlington/Tarrant County, $642,630 
•    TX-603: City of El Paso City/El Paso County, $266,935
•    TX-604: City of Waco/McLennan County, $84,864 
•    TX-607: Texas Balance of State, $4,102,451 
•    TX-611: City of Amarillo, $124,612 
•    TX-624: City of Wichita Falls/Wise, Palo Pinto, Wichita, Archer counties, $121,151 
•    TX-625: City of Lubbock/Lubbock County, $92,060 
•    TX-700: Cities of Houston, Pasadena, Conroe/Harris, Ft. Bend, Montgomery Counties, $1,455,363 
•    TX-701: Cities of Bryan/College Station/Brazos Valley, 163,740
