Step 2 – Identify Licensing Requirements

Do not apply for license or bond until business name is registered and education class is completed.

Can sell manufactured homes only for retailer or broker who sponsors their license.

  1. Application for license
  2. Fingerprints
  3. $200.00

Salespersons meeting the licensing requirements with no criminal record that would make them unfit for licensure may receive a provisional license for 90-days during which time they must attend the next licensing education class and successfully complete the exam.

Step 3

Select link to print form and mail in with fee. Salesperson applicants have 90 days to complete this step AFTER license is issued.

Step 4

For Texas residents select and print links # 1 and #2 below (out of state residents select #3):

  1. Fingerprinting Instructions (PDF)
  2. Texas Fingerprint Service Code Form (PDF)
  3. Out of State Fingerprinting Instructions (PDF)

Apply for license within 30 days of submitting fingerprints for criminal background check.

Step 5

Complete application and submit with items listed in Step 2 (except fingerprints which are sent to the Department by vendor).
